Min Sun Lee is a graphic and UI/UX designer, and educator based in Birmingham, Alabama.
or;I grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and the good ole Midwest in Hudson, Wisconsin. After receiving BA in graphic design in UW-Eau Claire and MFA in graphic design in Iowa State, I wandered down to Birmingham, Alabama.
I believe that through proper execution, design can serve as a valuable ally to those in need. I am interested in design research, unique solutions to human experience problems, social patterns, and communication between cultures. My design has been evolving from print to user interface design and user experience.
Besides the work, I have been heavily involved with the community, such as a Volunteer Staff Graphic Designer for Sidewalk Film Festival, AIGA Birmingham, Design Week Birmingham, Railroad Park, Cahaba River Society, Innovation Center for Design Ambassadors, and Alabama Engine: Alabama Engine: AIGA Birmingham + Design Thinking - sponsored by AIGA National from the Aspen Summit project.
I had the privilege to work with various clients - design agencies, startups, small businesses, non-profits, and personal. Also, I have presented and published my work nationally and internationally.
