Min Sun Lee is a brand and product designer specializing in UI/UX design and a professor at the University of Montevallo in Birmingham, Alabama.

I grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and the good ole Midwest in Hudson, Wisconsin. After receiving a BA in graphic design from UW-Eau Claire and an MFA in graphic design from Iowa State, I moved to Birmingham, Alabama.

My design philosophy is rooted in the belief that design, when executed effectively, can be a powerful tool for those in need. I am particularly drawn to design research, unique solutions to human experience problems, social patterns, and cross-cultural communication. Over the years, my design has transitioned from the realm of print to the dynamic fields of user interface design and user experience.

My professional journey is not just about the work I do, but also about the communities I am part of. I have had the privilege of contributing to various initiatives, serving as a Volunteer Staff Graphic Designer for the Sidewalk Film Festival, AIGA Birmingham, Design Week Birmingham, Railroad Park, Cahaba River Society, Innovation Center for Design Ambassadors, and Alabama Engine: AIGA Birmingham + Design Thinking - sponsored by AIGA National from the Aspen Summit project.

I have been privileged to work with various clients, including design agencies, startups, small businesses, non-profits, and individuals. I have also presented and published my work nationally and internationally.
If you have a project that you'd like to work together or freelancing, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
